A little bit about me!
I live in Noosa on the Sunshine Coast of Australia and it truly is one of the most special places in the world. I grew up on Sydney's beautiful Northern Beaches and have many fond memories there from my childhood. It is also where I met my husband and where each of my three children were born.
When my first child was born, in 2002, I decided to become a photographer. Over the years I took several small steps and some giant leaps to make that happen. I completed my BA majoring in Photography and graduated top of my class. Even now I continue to learn as much as I can about the industry and different genres. I take regular workshops and have learned from internationally awarded photographers.
During my studies, I considered working in many different genres of photography.. "I want to be an artist and put my work on walls!" then "I'm going into advertising!", then "I'm going to work for National Geographic and travel the world!", then "I want to go into war zones and tell the important stories!"
After I completed my studies, with some maturity, and while looking upon my second son's sweet newborn face, I thought about my own important story. I was lucky enough to marry my best friend and eventually had three equally beautiful, unique, quirky, challenging, inspiring sons. Capturing these most treasured moments of my life and other people's became my passion. I spent several years photographing newborns and families and it was incredibly rewarding to be able to capture these milestones in peoples lives.
After moving to the Sunshine Coast and being surrounded by the incredible natural beauty, it was hard not to be inspired. I was faced with a decision, to rebuild my newborn business or try something new? I took a leap and I have received such an incredible amount of support from friends and strangers alike and I truly hope if nothing else, that my photographs inspire you to explore our natural world. To care for it and to teach your children how important our environment is to our well being.
Thanks for browsing through my artwork, breathe it all in, I hope you love it as much as I do.
